40 Hours a Week is NOT Enough

Don’t lower your standards of work ethic because everyone else around you settled for normal.

How many hours a day do you work?

8? 9? 10? 6? 4? 0?

These past few weeks I’ve been doing 12 or 14 or 15 hour days.

They’ve been exhausting but great.

Lots of challenges yet lots of fun.

It just has caused me to stop and reflect. Like yes, this is great… but…

How much greater if there was profit sharing.

How much greater if it was my own company.

When I dictate for myself how those 12 or 14 or 15 hours will be spent each day the days will be a lot different.

10 hours in the office then 2 or 3 or 4 hours at home. That would be wonderful and even more wonderful if it were my own company and for something I could truly become fully invested in.

That’s hard when you’re a salaried worker.

I’ll always give my 100% and step up to the task when needed, but the drive to continue that 100% at double the level expected of you is not something that remains entirely sustainable.

“My work ethic is the single most important factor in all my work
