A Way to Live

One life.

Each day that we wake up is an incredible blessing and an opportunity.

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” — Mary Oliver

Each life on earth is like treasure. Incredibly valuable unless you never spend it. If you store up treasure for yourself and do nothing with it, what’s the value? It is diminished and has disappeared.

If you wait your whole life for an opportunity, you may never get one.

You must take advantage of the opportunities in front of you. Maybe you don’t know the importance or value of certain opportunities, but God does — He created them.

It’s up to us to take advantage.

As the story goes, an optimist said the glass was half full, a pessimist said it was half empty, and a realist drank the glass of water.

“Don’t pray to get out of the desert — pray to get the most out of the desert.” — Dave Adamson
