“Why do you want more?”

“Inspiration is for amateurs — the rest of us just show up and get to work. And the belief that things will grow out of the activity itself and that you will — through work — bump into other possibilities and kick open other doors that you would never have dreamt of if you were just sitting around looking for a great ‘art idea’” — Chuck Close

“Contrary to popular belief you don’t get rewarded for hard work, you get rewarded for hard results.” — Reece Wabara

I find it somewhat humorous that people act surprised when you want something more out of life.

Wait, you don’t want to do this for the next 10 years they say?

Wait, you want to learn more about your craft they say?

Wait, you don’t want to indulge in entertainment every weekend they say?

Nah, love, I’m good.

We’ve got something bigger over here.

I’m thinking about the future.

It’s like sports teams that are looking for a championship — they need to make sure that they are healthy.
